We took Olivia to a fair in Haskell the other night..It was her first one and she had a frieking blast..she had also never experience the heaven that is called funnel cake before and she is now in love with funnel cake just like all of us other normal people…so lo and behold the camera battery was not charged and i only got in a few shots before it died (just hours earlier i wasted valuable battery time trying to photograph a bee that i never could get focused in right…damn that bee…i didnt know it was so low..but anyway here are the few i got

Our float trip June 7, 2007

So Jay, Jake, Sam, and I went on a float trip over memorial day weekend…on the way down we got a flat tire….used a miracle product to fix the tire u just stick this gummy stuff in the hole (which was miraculously easy to find and right on top and not too big) and air it up and whalaahh it was fixed…then it started raining…hard and when we got there it was still raining….after about an hour of rain it cleared up a bit, we set up our tents and then jay started a fire…we started the grill and then ha it started raining again…so we sat in the car for a bit til the food was done and then we all sat in jake ’s car and ate hamburgers…then it finally cleared up and we had a good time just hanging out….the next morning I woke up with a toothache and went to get some coffee from the office only to find out the float was canceled because the river was up 4 feet and someone had drowned the day before :*( ugh on both accounts
So then the guys at the camp next to us were mentioning other places to float in the area so we got on the horn and thanks to lori and google we found a place an hour and a half south (HOOTENTOWN!!!) so we floated the james river that day for a 14 miles float and it took us 8 hours…It was really high and fast water but we dilly dallied enough to take a long time…we got to see some cool stuff which i didnt bring the good camera on the canoe (thank god we flipped like 12 times) but i did have a disposable which i will get developed soon…) and jakes car had to be jumped before we left However here are the pics i took before and on the way home we stopped at a small town restaraunt…im including those pics because it was cool and they allowed smoking…and if youll notice jay in his socks, it was just cool like that….the other pics are from random places we stopped to look at nature along the way home and the turtle photo shoot we did in the woods with our new turtle we found at the campsite (his name is froggie)

cool sky pics i took June 7, 2007

So I like to take pics of the sky….the first ones are from the float trip (see other blog) and the second ones i took tonight…the whole living room turned orange so i looked outside and it was super windy so i thought maybe a tornado but instead it was just a beautiful sunset that was being mirror imaged all over the entire visible sky…up on the roof would have made for some amazing pics but i dont have a ladder ugh

So this is my first blog … on here anyway…im starting this so i can have one place to put pics and daily stuff on something so my friends and family can look at it without having to have myspace…..try explaining myspace to grandparents
